The Truth About How to Write a Blog About Cannabis
The cannabis industry is so exciting because it’s so new, there’s so much potential for growth, and you can get extremely high while you work and no one can judge you. You’re really sticking it to your 420-unfriendly ex, now!
That’s why, when you’re going to set out to write a blog about cannabis, the first step, naturally, should be to get really, really stoned. Just kidding. I mean, feel free to do it if you’re good at being creative and focused when you’re high. But if not, save that pre-roll for Deep Sea Imax later tonight.
If you ARE one of those people that get super inspired AND productive when you get high, you’re amazing (and I’m jealous). For those lucky people, may we recommend hitting a sativa Elite vape pen from Select? Something like their Maui Wowie pen might be the perfect choice to boost your energy and mood, and it’ll make any idea you have seem totally genius. Just be sure to edit later, after you’ve sobered up. You’ll probably need to.
Now that you’re nice and baked (or not), the next step is to rattle your brain for buzzwords that the industry is obsessed with right now. That’ll be words like ‘CBD’, ‘terpenes’, ‘vape pods’, and anything described as “euphoric”.
Now that you have your keyword, you can pretty much call yourself an SEO guru. Your work is done here.
Now’s the time to design that perfect headline around your keyword. For example, if you wanted to write a blog about terpenes, try choosing a topic that hasn’t already been done before.
For example, “7 Ways to Open Up a Dialogue with an Estranged Family Member About Terpenes”, “4 Subtle Ways to Bring Up Terpenes at a Party That Will Make You Sound Smart but Not in a Pretentious Way”, or even “20 Terpenes Found in this One Obscure CBD Product From That One Holistic Boutique That Always Smells Like Patchouli”.
Once you’ve done your brainstorming, and you’ve come up with the perfect headline, all that’s left is to write the blog! As soon as you sit down, your fingers will either fly across the keyboard, exploding with inspired ideas, or you’ll sit there for days to no avail, constantly waiting for inspiration to strike but always disappointing yourself. We guarantee that your experience will definitely fall somewhere between the two. Trust us, we’re professionals.
Don’t you wish blogging about cannabis was actually that easy?
While it is a super fun topic to learn and write about, it’s not always easy. There’s a lot that goes into it, and you may find that running a cannabis blog takes more research than writing.
The fun, exciting, and somewhat annoying part of the cannabis industry is that it’s always changing. For a blogger, this is awesome news because we’ll always have new content. But it’s also not so awesome because you need to be on top of the industry CONSTANTLY. This means research, research, and more research.
